Testimonial from Steve Peach 2009

I have known Desri and Robin as friends for a long number of years and was a guest at there lovely wedding shortly after they moved to the Charente area to start their new lives together some 12 years ago now. My family and I have always stopped for a yearly catch up when we have vacationed in France and have seen them grow in their relationship and business together over time.

Their lives in France have had their highs and lows yet their tenacity and ability to keep their ‘bateau sur le mer ’ should be greatly admired.

Desri is a very clear-headed and a positive spirited women and Robin is an analytical and sensitive man. Together they offer a very comforting presence that always stimulates the mind, conversation and emotion.

Their adopted life plan draws on the combination and attitude toward natural health of the mind and body and how the correct nourishment of both allows clearer thought and physical action.

Desri is a very accomplished ‘raw food’ chef - an area of cuisine I had never experienced until my recent stay.

To say the least I had ’issues’ - the triangle of high cholesterol, blood pressure and weight combined with work pressure and personal expectation of where ‘I should be’ had made me arrive at a point in my life where I needed to step out and fix things relating to ‘me’. I had become ‘somebody else’ - with whom I was not happy and my family were concerned on a number of levels.

I accepted Desri and Robins offer to stay with them in Mouillac and they were prepared to offer solutions in terms of dietary attitudes and requirements also offering relaxation techniques which would allow a clearer and calmer mind and ability to step forward with ‘freshness‘. In return I had to let go of my preconceived ideas of what I believed an ’alternative diet’ and ‘meditation’ actually entailed.

My ten-day visit resulted in me losing 10lbs and body detoxification through diet and abstinence - a clearer, cleaner frame of mind and new positivity through the use of sound and vision techniques and adopting ’tapping’ point relaxation methods.

This methodology when added to the simple pleasure of walking through the nearby oak forests on a carpet of acorns, opening the shutters to view the early morning mist floating above the landscapes, sunsets over sleeping vines of the adjacent fields and convivial discussions in front of a roaring winter fire aided a process which I found invigorating and truly appreciated. The kindness and knowledge that my hosts imparted to me will always be treasured.
